Many men and women have problems when it comes to finding ways to lose that belly. For some people, this is the first place that they begin to pack on the extra weight. There are people who will tell you that doing sit ups and also crunches is the best way to lose the weight around your midsection. They are flat out wrong.
If you were to talk to a fitness instructor, they would tell you that the best way to lose that belly would be doing some type of cardio exercise and weight training. No matter what type of exercise you chose, though, the most important thing for you to know is that you need to keep moving to lose that belly.
Of course, eating a healthy diet is another part of losing weight – that just goes without saying.
There is no way that you can possibly lose weight by exercise alone. It does not give you one bit of good to exercise your brains out only to stop for fast food on your way home. You can eat a greasy slice of pizza in about 5 minutes. That slice may taste good and all, but it also might have 400 calories in it. Those 400 calories means 30 minutes on the treadmill. So you are not only screwing up the calorie balance by making bad food choices, you are also trading time – the only resource we can’t get more of.
If you think of it this way, spending an extra 10 minutes to make something healthy and low calorie can save you 15 minutes (or more to burn it back off). Anyone who says that they don’t have time to cook healthy really isn’t thinking about the real tradeoffs of eating junk.
The human body will require a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetable servings. It is also important for you to drink plenty of water so you can flush out your system. Most people do not have a problem drinking plenty of water after their workout because exercise makes you crave water.
Something you that is extremely important is the fact that you need to confuse the body. When you are doing this, you will mix up your routine quite a bit. If your daily exercise gets easier and easier each day, you are not doing one bit of good for your body. Consider doing interval training one day and then follow it up the following day with a good run. This is a great way to confuse your body into losing the belly fat weight.
Something else that needs to be thought of is the fact that exercising for hours on end is not going to get results. The only reason that one should ever consider exercising for many hours each day as if they have nothing better to do. In most cases, a simple half hour workout four times a week in sufficient. There is no need to be overweight.
If you are ready to shed that fat suit, the go ahead and take the next step…
